Monarch butterfly caterpillar (Danaus plexippus) found on our Scarlet milkweed (Asclepias curassavica) if you love butterflies, and specifically love Monarchs- this is what to plant.

A juvenile Southeastern 5-lined Skink (Eumeces inexpectus). Such a cutie- the adults get pretty big and turn mostly brown and they are fun to catch. Very bitey at first when caught, but then they calm down and mellow out. When I do catch one (it's hard- they are very fast and agile) I usually catch a few bugs too, after they calm down, it's easy to hand feed them.
